Aims and Scope



The Azerbaijan Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery (AZJCVS) is the official journal of the Azerbaijan Cardiovascular Surgery Society. The Journal is funded by these societies, no publication fee is required, and it is published three (3) times annually in March, July, and November, in English. With the decision taken by the Editorial Board, three issues a year have been published since 2022.

The Azerbaijan Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery (AZJCVS) aims to become a leading international open-access journal dedicated to cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. The journal primarily serves cardiovascular and thoracic surgeons, with a focus on advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and management of heart, vascular, and thoracic diseases. It seeks to improve patient outcomes by publishing high-quality research on surgical techniques, perioperative care, endovascular innovations, and the prevention and management of complex cardiovascular conditions.

The journal encourages submissions that explore technical advancements, multidisciplinary approaches, and translational research in the field. In addition to original scientific studies, the journal includes state-of-the-art reviews, clinical and experimental research, editorials, technical how-to papers, case reports, interesting images, and commentary articles, fostering a comprehensive understanding of the latest developments and challenges in cardiovascular surgery.

The Azerbaijan Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery is aimed at cardiovascular surgeons, thoracic surgeons, interventional cardiologists, anesthesiologists, vascular specialists, and other medical professionals involved in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of cardiovascular and thoracic diseases. It also welcomes contributions from multidisciplinary teams addressing primary, secondary, and tertiary care aspects of cardiovascular health.

Azerbaijan Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery (AZJCVS) is an international journal and accepts submissions from all regions. 

Azerbaijan Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery P-ISSN : 2790-9255 number, very few printed for the editors of our journal in Azerbaijan.

Advertisements of pharmaceutical firms and medical device manufacturers are allowed to be published in the printed version. 

The policy, content, and the format of this journal comply with the requirements (Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals) of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors.The journal editors are fully responsible in reviewing and approving materials published.
